The title of “Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation” was awarded to the director of the sports complex named after Lichutin Igor Tropin. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

Igor Tropin was born in Arkhangelsk. Graduated from the Pomor International Pedagogical University named after M.V. Lomonosov. His entire working biography is closely connected with sports. While still a student, he participated in the All-Russian competitions in Greco-Roman wrestling as part of the national team of the Arkhangelsk region.

For more than 20 years he has worked as a trainer-teacher at the children’s and youth sports school No. 6. Under his leadership, many pupils achieved significant results, seven of them became masters of sports. Wrestlers trained by Igor Tropin won competitions at various levels, including international ones.

Four times Igor Tropin became the winner of the competition “Sports Olympus” held in Arkhangelsk in the nomination “The best coach-teacher of the year”.

Since 2004, Igor Tropin has been the president of the regional Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation. He is actively involved in the development of this sport in Pomorie, in promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people. Has an all-Russian judicial category.

In March 2017, Igor Sergeevich headed the municipal autonomous institution “Physical Culture and Sports Complex named after. A.F. Lichutin”.
