Kazakhstani Maria Brovkova won a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships in kayaking and canoeing among juniors and youth under 23 in Aronzo (Italy). Performing in the 1000 meters race in the C-1 category, Marina Brovkova showed the best time – 4:35.01 seconds. The silver medal was won by the Sarkan River (Hungary), in third place was Shohsanam Sherzodova (Uzbekistan).
