Pushkov called the losses from the break with China a possible reason for the change in EU policy

Member of the Federation Council of Russia Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel suggested what could be the reason for the change in European policy.

Commenting on the Carnegie Endowment experts’ analysis of US-EU-China relations, Pushkov noted that the most important factor, the factor of Europe’s political dependence on the United States, remained out of the authors’ field of vision.

“Trade with China is important, but it does not solve everything … Contrary to the interests of Europeans and economic logic, the US will support the EU … Changes in European policy are possible only in the event of such gigantic losses from a break with China that will put the economy on the brink collapse and undermine social stability,” Pushkov said.
