Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with Aeroflot CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the air carrier. It discussed the current work of the company, its level of punctuality and flight safety.

As Aleksandrovsky informed the Prime Minister, in May this year the air carrier topped the rating of the TOP-50 most punctual airlines in the world. The number of flights of the Russian company that arrived on time, according to the results of 5 months of 2023, remained at the level of 2022 indicators – 90.4%.

The level of flight safety has practically not changed. In the first quarter compared to last year, it amounted to 99.969%.

According to the company’s press service, despite the restructuring of supply chains in the face of external sanctions pressure, the air carrier maintains its leading position in the global market.

A number of issues of the meeting concerned subsidies and tariffs for passenger transportation.

Aleksandrovsky said that Aeroflot plans to carry 1.9 million passengers in 2023 under the “flat” fare program, 1.4 million of them in the Far East.

The head of the company added that 800,000 bookings have already been made to date. The amount of the subsidy amounted to 7.4 billion rubles.

It should be noted that Aeroflot, in addition to subsidized fares, sells tickets under its own program of “flat” fares. These are tickets with a fixed price, which does not depend on the date of purchase and the season.
