Mamut and “Trust” agreed to settle claims for the billionaire’s debts

In March 2020, the company stopped servicing its debt due to the epidemiological situation in the country and the closure of cinemas. Cinema Park demanded an increase in the loan term from December 31, 2022 to December 31, 2027, exemption from payment of interest and penalties for the period of coronavirus restrictions on cinemas, as well as a reduction in the interest rate from 7.5 to 1% after the removal restrictions, but with payment of interest at the end of the loan term. On June 29, it became known that Mamut and Trust resumed settlement negotiations. Now Mamut’s structures own the Cinema Park chain of cinemas and Vanderkind JSC, which manages Hamleys children’s toy stores in Russia (now the Vinnie brand).
