In Finland, they announced a strange threat from Russia

Iltalehti: Colonel Myakitalo called Russian real estate in Finland a threat

Real estate acquired by citizens of the Russian Federation in Finland poses a threat to national security, says Colonel Janne Myakitalo.

He told the Iltalehti newspaper that in the early 2010s, 139 properties purchased by Russian citizens were discovered. According to him, the Russians bought houses “in the area of radar stations, explosives warehouses and closed military airfields.” Because of this, he suggested that on the territory of Russian real estate it is potentially possible “to place caches with explosive materials” and even “with anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles.”

Myakitalo urged the country’s authorities to check real estate owned by foreigners in order to carry out “large-scale impact on Finland.”
