The American corporation Google can no longer show tweets in search results as often due to the fact that Twitter has limited access to Google’s search crawlers. About this company reported on Twitter.

According to a Google spokesperson, “We are aware that Twitter.com has limited our ability to crawl the site, which has impacted our ability to display tweets and pages from the site in search results. Internet resources have control over whether search crawlers can see content on them.”

Twitter previously drew controversy when restricted the number of tweets available for viewing, and also banned unregistered users from viewing Twitter. Users began to switch to similar platforms, which, for example, forced Bluesky to stop accepting new members due to technical limitations.

Also tomorrow, July 6, the American corporation Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) going to release its analogue of Twitter under the name Threads. Previously, it was Meta’s desire to make its clone of Twitter led to talk of a possible duel between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter owner Elon Musk.
