Court fines Dropbox for failing to remove inaccurate information about military operation


The World Court of Moscow fined 2 million rubles. file hosting Dropbox International Unlimited Company. The reason was the failure to remove information about Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.

“Recognize the organization Dropbox International Unlimited Company guilty under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-deletion of information or a web page if the obligation to delete it is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation),” the judge said (quoted by TASS).

According to the protocol, the hosting materials contained inaccurate information. It was allegedly aimed at destabilizing the political situation in Russia.
