Carlsberg announced the absence of notification of the transfer of its stake in Baltika to temporary management

Press service of the Danish company Carlsberg Group reportedthat the company did not receive official notification of the transfer of its share in the Russian structure of the Baltika brewing company to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency. In a press release, this development was called unexpected.

“The Carlsberg Group has not received any official information from the Russian authorities regarding the presidential decree or the consequences for the Baltika brewing company. The Carlsberg Group operates in accordance with local rules and regulations in Russia and considers this development to be unexpected.

Carlsberg Group management promised to assess the legal and operational implications of this development and take all necessary responses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin this afternoon signed decree, according to which the shares of foreign companies in Danone and Baltika were transferred to the temporary administration of the Federal Property Management Agency. 98.56% of Baltika was owned by Carlsberg Sverige Aktiebolag (Swedish subsidiary of Carlsberg), 1.35% by Hoppy Union and 0.09% by Carlsberg Deurschland GmbH (German subsidiary of Carlsberg).
