Annual inflation in Russia accelerated to 3.43% over the week – Kommersant


During the week from June 27 to July 3, annual inflation accelerated to 3.43%. A week earlier, this figure was 3.21%. This is stated in review Ministry of Economy “On the current price situation”, published on July 5.

The Central Bank’s target for inflation is 2%.

By data Rosstat, prices for sugar, chicken meat and eggs, vermicelli, biscuits and black tea have increased over the past week. At the same time, the cost of onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and bananas decreased.

Of certain types of non-food essentials, toothpaste, matches, toilet soap and baby diapers have risen in price. At the same time, prices for toilet paper and dry animal feed have declined.
