Alpine paradise in The Chedi Andermatt – Kommersant

The reference ski resort, The Chedi Andermatt is a 5-star hotel located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in Andermatt. With 119 rooms and suites, the hotel was built in 2013 by Jean-Michel Gati, combining the style of a traditional Swiss chalet with an Asian touch. The resort boasts a 2,400 sq. with the longest indoor pool in Switzerland with a length of 35 m and a heated outdoor pool with panoramic views of the Alpine landscape. Among the restaurants and bars, two gourmet Japanese restaurants stand out: The Japanese Restaurant located directly at the hotel and The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt, the highest mountain Japanese restaurant in Switzerland, at around 2300 m above sea level. Both are marked with one Michelin star. Since May of this year, they have been run by the twins Dominic Sato and Fabio Toffolon, who previously worked for the best chefs in Europe.

The organization of pastime also matches – from hiking in the mountains to collect herbs to making cheese on your own and driving a vintage car along the Tremola Pass. Other packages for guests include: James Bond Package – a trip to the filming location of one of the Bond films and a shopping tour with a private guide Labels of Love. Residents will appreciate The Cigar Library bar, which offers the widest selection of cigars among all hotels in the world – there are 900 types of them.
